Cervical Vertebrae
Fifth cervical vertebra: The third, fourth, and fifth cervical vertebrae differ slightly from one another. The spinous processes increase in length from the third to the fifth vertebrae. The transverse processes of the fifth cervical vertebra are the shortest. On each vertebra there is a pair of transverse foramina, which extend through the pedicles of the vertebral arches.
