Leg (Crus)

Fibula

The head of the fibula articulates with the lateral condyle of the tibia.  The distal most extremity, the lateral malleolus, has two grooves that contain the tendons of th peroneus longus, peroneus brevis, and the lateral digital extensor.  These grooves work together in redirecting the contraction force of the joint.
